SHINYBOUNDS MAP #9 UPDATE | HUGE COMBAT & WARZONE UPDATE, FISHING, EVENT DAY, NEW STANDARD KITS AND MORE

Greetings!

This is the changelog of the update release on Map #9. It contains huge Combat & Warzone, Fishing and Balance changes, two new Standard Kits, a new Warzone Grinder and the introduction of an Event Day + many more updates. Therefor you shouldn't miss the Release on the 6th of June, at 8pm CET.

Lets start with the Combat & Warzone changes:
For a long time most of our updates as well as the server in general were PvE related / focussed. The 9th Season of Shinybounds is designed to rebalance this situation, through a mix of going back to our roots, when PvP played a major role for the whole season and new realms coming to Shinybounds in future updates, with exciting new content.

⚔️ Combat Expert / Points - Rework ⚔️

The Combat Expert NPC, located at the Combat Outpost used his free time while the server was in maintenance to train his skills even more. To honour this season, he has decided to share his vast repertoire of knowledge with you all. As he is convinced that there is a true Combat Expert in every player, he no longer makes any entry demands. However, as he has a family to feed, the tips will not be free. As a player, you will have to face great risks and even greater dangers in order to gain the necessary experience and Combat Tokens to constantly develop your skills.

🔴 Combat Points - Tokens 🔴

The already known Combat Points are now split into Combat Points and Tokens. While Combat Points can be collected indefinitely, the daily Combat Tokens are limited to 500. The Combat Rank, which was still based on Combat Levels last season, is now determined by Combat Points. There will also be a Combat Top with End Season Rewards, which is also based on Combat Points. Combat Tokens can be used to level up skills or buy rare items in the Combat Shop. The Combat Shop offers a certain selection of items for the entire duration of the season, while others are only available temporarily.
If the daily limit of Combat Tokens has not yet been reached, you will always receive as many Tokens as Points. Combat Points and Tokens can only be obtained while being in the warzone without immunity.

There are many old and new ways to collect Combat Points / Tokens:
- The Sun, Moon, Super Chest and Warzone Defender Grinders
- Mining Ores in the Warzone without immunity
- Opening unlooted Warzone Chests
- Last Man Standing (Frosty Mine)
- Warzone KOTH
- Breaking enemy players Soulstones
- Placing / Using God Kit Flares, Supply Drop Flares, Immortal Stars, Eternal Stars
- New Warzone Challenges (Combat Expert)
- etc.

🎯 Warzone Challenges 🎯

Warzone Challenges are a new kind of challenges, which can be accepted at the Combat Expert. But be careful, you are only able to see the challenge when you've accepted it. After that you have to complete it in a specific amount of time. If you manage to do so, you will receive Combat Points according to the challenges difficulty, if you fail, the challenge in this difficulty will have a longer cooldown. There are easy, medium, hard and extrem combat challenges.

🌳 Combat Skill Tree 🌳

Using the Combat Tokens, at the start of Season 8 we are introducing 21 different Combat Skills, including different levels, which will not only enable you to collect Combat Points / Tokens even faster, but also to increase your Daily Limit and earn more stars or other rare items due your efforts in the warzone. Each upgrade will cost a fixed amount of combat tokens and you won´t be able to reset your skilling. Therefor be careful about how you spend those tokens.



☠️ Warzone Defender Grinder ☠️

The new Warzone Defender Grinder, will bring exciting new possibilities to the Warzone. But be careful, they are not as nice as they look. But if you manage to overcome the Warzone Defenders, not only Warzone Defender Fragments (Cosmic Trader) but also possible unique special loot could be your reward.

In connection with the new Combat System, we have decided to give the Frosty Mine new charm and introduce:

🕋 New Openable - OP Warzone Crate 🕋

The new OP Warzone Crate can be found while mining Warzone Ores without immunity (Combat Skill Requirement) and in other special PvP loottables.

💥 Other notable PvP changes💥

- Added a Soul Stone Recharger item to different PvP loottables --> Reenables one Soulstone Slot in exchange for 5m stars.
- Thief Rework: Thief is now able to steal an enemies leggings or boots
- New Warzone Events
- The Damage of Backstab got increased
- The maximum level of Viper and Mooch got decreased
- Decreased Dust prices for enchantment book leveling
- Major Ikit and Okit Balance Changes --> Most of the Okit sets now have P4 U2, Ikits: P4 U3 and better Side-Enchantments like Tank and Savior
- Smash Ability Duration (3s --> 5s)
- Shatter is now more effective on axes
- Guillotine: Increased chance for mob head drops

🛡️ Set Boni changes 🛡️

🟩 Nightmare - Change: 5m range
🟩 Warlord - Additional Effect: -5% PvP Ability Cooldown
🟩 Specialist - Change & Additional Effect: 20% Ability Cooldown while wearing (every kind of ability)
🟩 Yeti - Change & Additional Effect: Receive -50% damage while Frozen by Frostwalker + When inflected by Freeze enchantment, gain Night Vision I for 10s, Speed I for 10s, Strength I for 5s and Instant Heal two hearts.
🟩 Vampire - Additional Effect: Higher chance to apply Bloodsuck on your enemy
🟩 Viking: - Change:
- Level 1: - 10% Smash & Shuffle Ability Cooldown
- Level 2: - 15% Smash & Shuffle Ability Cooldown
- Level 3: - 25% Smash & Shuffle Ability Cooldown

🟥 Illusionist - Change: Decreased Counter proc chance


🎣 Pearl Bay & Fishing Changes 🎣

In Season 9 Fishing finally gets a rework, which not only builds the foundation for many cool new updates in the future (you can be excited for 9.1), but also changes the experience of fishing in general.
While fishing on your island stays pretty similar, we are introducing a new Fishing Realm, Pearl Bay, which grants a faster fishing speed, enables fishing together with whoever you want surrounded by an stunning atmosphere and allows us to detect auto fishing mods more easily.

🕸️ New Fishing Openable - Mythical Weave 🕸️

Together with the new Fishing Update we are also introducing a new Fishing Openable, the Mythical Weave, which is exclusive to fishing and contains lots of rare loot.

Other notable Fishing Changes:
- Treasure Hunter is now worth skilling, because openables are given out additionally
- On Player Islands the Fishing Speed is halved in comparison to the speed in Pearl Bay
- New Fishing Events
- Sea Lanterns are now sellable
- The Double Fishing XP Island Upgrade was removed

As mentioned before this is only the base for future updates and Pearl Bay as well as Fishing in general will get expanded this season (Fishing Ckit and more).


🎊 Event Day 🎊

Saturday will become a weekly event day, on which nearly the whole day Tradia, Fishing, Fairywood, Spiritfields or Warzone Events will take place. The Scramble and Skydrop Cooldown will get decreased, the Combat Token Limit increased and KOTH will take place two times on Saturday. At last the Daily Immortal Star in the Frosty Mine will appear every six hours.

⭐Prestige & Immortal Shards ⭐

Our plan this season was to make Prestiging one of everyone's main goals again. To reach this point, Prestiging had to become more rewarding and easy again. The same goes for Immortal Shards.
- Prestige I becomes OG and doesn´t require any Woodcutting, Farming, Slayer or Tradia Points / Levels
- Prestiging becomes much more easy in general (Decreased farming requirements, etc.)
- Okits unlocked through Prestige will directly be Level 3.
- The new Standard Kits will basically be Prestige-only Kits
- New XP Snatcher & Soul Stealer Prestige Skill Trees
- Removal of the Warzone Hoarder Prestige Skill Tree
- New Level Rewards will be claimable after Prestiging
- The base unlock chance for Original Immortal Shards coming from Immortal Summoner gets increased (15% --> 20%)
- The base unlock chance for Original Immortal Shards (every other origin) and Immortal Shards gets increased (25% --> 30%)
- Failing to unlock Original Immortal Shards with an unlock chance below 30% in total (base + boost) will result in receiving one Original Immortal Booster
- Failing to unlock Original Immortal Shards or Immortal Shards with an unlock chance of 30%+ in total will result in receiving one to three (Original) Immortal Booster
- Failing the Unlock of an (Original) Immortal Kit level 2 or above, will result in receiving the loot of the failed level.

🌾 Grinding Contests 🪵

Introducing Grinding Contests - a new event, in which every 4 hours after the completion of the past grinding contest, the community will compete against each other.

Grinding Contests can appear in every grinding area (farming, slayer, woodcutting, etc.) and enable one lucky player to receive the reward. A grinding contest ends whenever the reward has been claimed or the time runs out. To be able to have a chance of receiving the reward, you would have to participate in the grinding contest, due completing specific tasks. With each task the community has done the chance for everyone rises until a maximum of 100%. Every completed tasks carries a chance of receiving the reward, depending on the amount of completed tasks.

The contest rewards will get better alongside the season progress.

So which decision are you going to make? What's the best strategy? Let other players do the hard work at the start and wait until the chance for the reward is high or grind from the beginning and take use every opportunity for an early pull? The decision is up to you!


🔥 Auto Smelter 🔥

It's finally time for the Auto Smelter to get implemented. The upgradable Auto Smelter enables Multi-Smelt, Finding rare Treasures and the Smelting of Arcane Dust, with the possibility to increase its capacity.
